Whidden Guest Speaker At LaBelle Heritage Museum Meeting

LABELLE, FL. -- Florida Cracker artist, musician, and raconteur Lance "Bubba" Whidden was the guest speaker at the monthly LaBelle Heritage Museum meeting.

Whidden, father of Hendry County Sheriff Steve Whidden, talked about Florida's history, pioneer Southwest Florida families, alligator hunting, hunting cows for Immokalee's Red Cattle Company among others, and his experiences in law enforcement, to a full house at the LaBelle City Hall.

Hendry County Sheriff Steve Whidden sang a few songs as his father played a few tunes on the guitar.
