He was born May 15, 1932 in Kite, GA, to the late James Alexander and the late Lizzie Elminie (Beasley) Wilkerson. He was a supervisor for District Island Water Management for twenty-seven years.
He enjoyed being out in the woods hunting for deer and wild hogs. He recently started to attend the Moore Haven Church of God. He married Margaret Hogan; she preceded him in death on Mary 8, 2008.
Survivors include two sons: Leroy (Sue) White of Moore Haven, FL, Lavanda (Brenda) White of Lake Placid, FL and three daughters: Brenda (Grady) Sullivan of Venus, FL, Janice (Bill) Pettersen of Tallahassee, FL, and Mary Blount of Kynesville, FL; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great - grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 3:00 pm at Ortona Cemetery, Moore Haven with Rev. Bill Pettersen officiating.
