LABELLE, FL. -- The new LaBelle Walmart Supercenter parking lot is empty today, but Wednesday at 7:30 a.m., it's certainly going to look a lot different.

Florida's newest 24-hour marketplace will open officially Wednesday morning with ceremonies at the new store just west of the city of LaBelle. On Saturday. local community organizations will hold displays of community interest at the new store.

Walmart intends to open 50 to 60 Supercenters and 85 to 95 Neighborhood Markets in Fiscal 2017, which begins Feb. 1. In the same period, Sam’s Club plans to open in seven to 10 new locations. Internationally, Walmart intends to open between 200 and 240 stores during the coming year.

Didn't find any real bargains but thought the store was very nice. Did notice in produce dept. That there were two different prices on the same cantalopes. What I found lacking is a fast food/snack bar, hair salon and nail salon. Went there intending to get a haircut and have my nails done.
