Hendry County Democratic Executive Committee will meet at the Harlem Community Center on 7th Street off Georgia Avenue in Clewiston on Saturday, September 22, at 9:00 a.m. Coffee and pastry will be available, and everyone interested in the November 6 Midterm General Election is welcome.
Local Democrats will be encouraging Hendry County voters to sign up for Vote By Mail as well as taking advantage of Early Voting, particularly the one Sunday in October set aside to accommodate those who prefer to vote after church, and last but not least Election Day voting. The Hendry County Democratic Executive committee is now registered as a Third Party Voter Registration Organization and will be registering new voters after the meeting.
Joe Thomas, chairman of the local Democratic party, says there is at least one vacant position in each of Hendry County's 10 voting precincts asks anyone willing to serve as a Precinct Captain to bring their Voter Registration Information Card with voter registration number and precinct number on it as both are required on the official form that must be submitted to the Florida Democratic Party and the Hendry County Elections Office.
