MOORE HAVEN, FL. -- On Sunday a 9 year old passenger died in a crash in Glades County.
From the FHP report: Vehicle 1, towing trailer, was traveling south on State Road 78, south of Tomato Grade Road. Vehicle 2 was traveling north on State Road 78.
Driver 1 lost control of Vehicle 1. Vehicle 1 traveled into the northbound lane and entered the path of Vehicle 2. Vehicle 2 veered right to avoid, but Vehicle 1 collided with Vehicle 2.
Vehicle 2 / passenger 2, a 9-year old girl was transported to an area hospital and later pronounced deceased.
The crash remains under investigation.
