LABELLE, FL. -- Vehicle 1 (semi truck / trailer) was traveling east on County Road 74, approaching State Road 29 at County Road 74 at 7:53 a.m. Wednesday.
Driver 1, 55 year old male from Cape Coral lost control of Vehicle 1.
Vehicle 1 overturned onto the northbound lane of State Road 29, causing the trailer portion to become detached.
Vehicle 1 and trailer came to rest on the east side grass shoulder.
Driver 1 was pronounced deceased on scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
