Vehicle 1 was traveling east on State Road 80 at a high rate of speed, west of County Road 78A (Fort Denaud Road) on the outside lane. Vehicle 2 was backing out of a driveway onto eastbound State Road 80, west of County Road 78A.
The front portion of Vehicle 1 collided with the right rear portion of Vehicle 2. Vehicle 2 overturned ejecting Driver 2 and passenger 1. Vehicle 1 continued traveling east after collision and came to final rest facing east. Vehicle 2 came to final rest overturned, in the area of collision.
Driver 1, female age 38 of Alva, and Vehicle 2 Passenger 2, female, age 13 were transported to Lee Memorial Hospital. Driver 2 , age 42 of LaBelle and Vehicle 2 Passenger 1, female age 15 were pronounced deceased on scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
