Hendry County Burn Ban Lifted - Tire Disposal Fee Increasing

(June 17, 2024) – LaBelle, Fla. –The burn ban on unregulated outdoor fires in Hendry County has been lifted effective June 17, 2024.

Residents are asked to always exercise caution when burning outside.

Lee County has increased the fee to dispose tires at all Lee County Solid Waste facilities, which include the Transfer Stations in Clewiston and LaBelle, effective July 1, 2024.

For tires originating in Hendry County, effective 07/01/2024, the rates will be as follows:

Tires* Passenger Car Tires $265.00 per ton

XL Tires** Off Road Tires $290.00 per ton

This notice also serves as a reminder that all tires brought to any Lee County Solid Waste facility must originate in either Lee or Hendry County.

Disposal of tires that have originated in counties other than Lee or Hendry is not permitted.
