January 27-29 – Big “O” Birding & Arts/Crafts Festival, Moore Haven. Dr. Jerome Jackson, author of "In Search of the Ivory-billed Woodpecker" will give the keynote speech. Julie Brashears Wraithmell with Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, will give a presentation on the fifth and final section of the Great Florida Birding Trail, opening next February. Linda White, Birds of Prey Center, lecturing on the Eagle Watch Program. "Kids are for the Birds," event for children in Tom Perry Memorial Park in the Moore Haven's historic riverfront district. There will also be numerous tours offered, which include, viewing eagle nesting sites at Brighton Seminole Reservation and a Sugarland Barn Owl tour. Art & Crafts and vendor booths.
