Hendry County's Quincy Westberry Dies At 78

Clewiston Volunteer Fire Department Member For 25 Years

Quincy L. Westberry, Sr. age 78, of Clewiston
died Tuesday, May 24, 2011 in Hendry Regional Medical Center of Clewiston, FL. Quincy was born May 2, 1933 in Jennings, FL. He is the son of the late Lee and the late Pearlie (Jackson) Westberry. He married Doris McLucas. 

He was employed as a Meat Department Manager for over 38 years for U-Save of Clewiston. He was a volunteer Fireman for over 25 years with the City of Clewiston Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with family and friends. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years: Doris Westberry ; three daughters: Sylvia (Carl) Berner of Clewiston, FL, Patty (Bob) Rogers of Dayton , OH, Bessie Crum of Lake City, FL and two sons: Quincy L. (Tracy) Westberry, Jr. of Clewiston, FL, Turner Harris of Dallas, TX; Sisters: Della Whitaker, Kathleen Nash and one brother: Lonnie Westberry; Sixteen Grandchildren and One Great Grandchild. 

The memorial service will be held 6:00 pm on Friday, May 27 in Akin-Davis Funeral Home, 438 E. Sugarland Hwy., Clewiston, FL with Pastor George Bryant officiating. Visitation will be Friday, May 27 from one hour before service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to be given in his name to the Hendry Regional Medical Center Foundation 544 West Sugarland Hwy, Clewiston, Florida 33440.
