Port LaBelle Inn Chicken Farm

 

LABELLE, FL. -- One of the latest ventures by the Saint Matthews House and the Port LaBelle Inn is a one acre chicken farm, with several new structures housing dozens of chickens and a rooster. 

SWH Properties of SW Florida owns about 21 acres of pasture and ponds along Oxbow Dr. in Glades County west of Birchwood Parkway. Cows and one donkey are in the pasture and an acre is reserved for the chickens and chicken coops and a barn.

The Port LaBelle Inn sits in Hendry county where St. Matthews House has drug and alcohol rehab housing on the third floor and rents rooms to the public on the second.
