DOT has arrived on scene and traffic cones have been set to assist with the flow of traffic. The inside lane of travel on northbound US 27 is being utilized to move southbound traffic thru the crash site. Both FHP, Hendry County Sheriff’s Office and Clewiston Fire have remained on scene. Updates will continue to be provided as they are made available.
At approximately 6:40am, Hendry County Deputies along with Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a traffic crash in the area of Bass Road and US 27 involving two tractor trailers and a truck; both agencies are present at this time. Currently, both southbound lanes of traffic are closed.

Deputies are alternating southbound traffic to the northbound lanes to continue the flow of travelers. Department of Transportation is enroute to assist with marking lanes of travel with traffic cones. It is estimated that road closures will continued for approximately 4-6 hours in order to complete traffic investigation and/or the removal of vehicles. Updates will provided as they are made available.
A secondary crash was reported by deputies at approximately 7:04am in the area of Stitt Ranch. All vehicles have been cleared and removed from the scene.
