Dr. Barhoush completed his medical degree at Cairo University in Cairo, Egypt in 1966 and residency in OB/GYN in New York and New Jersey from 1970-73 at St. Clare’s Hospital, Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Jersey Medical School. He went on to train in GYN Oncology in 1974 at Margaret Hague Hospital in New Jersey.
He then, established and currently runs a private practice in Belle Glade, Florida. Dr. Barhoush has served as Chief of Staff for 40+ years and serves as Chief of the OB/GYN Department at Lakeside Medical Center. He has been recognized and honored for his service with a Proclamation and
Recognition from the Commission of the City of South Bay and the 2013 Community Pride Award by the Belle Glade Chamber of Commerce. This year the Palm Beach County Healthcare District honored Dr. Barhoush’s decades of service to the rural community by naming Lakeside Medical Center’s “The Ahmed H. Barhoush, M.D. Birthing Center”.
Dr. Barhoush and his wife have raised 7 children in the Glades community and are proud grandparents of 10.
Dr. Barhoush delivered both my boys at Everglades Memorial Hospital in Pahokee.
