Jamal Hubert Found Dead In Canal


CLEWISTON, FL. -- On Thursday, June 6, 2019 at approximately 12:08pm, Hendry County Detectives were summoned to a cane field located approximately 2 miles east of Crooked Hook Campground on U.S. 27 in Palm Beach County.

A man who was working in the area found a body in a canal.

With the assistance of Palm Beach County, the body was removed and transported to the medical examiner’s office. At this time a positive identification of the body has not been made.

UPDATE: The identity of the person found yesterday, June 6, 2019, in a canal in Palm Beach County, has been positively identified as 30 year old, Jamal Hubert.

At this time HCSO Investigators are not certain of the cause of death or the reason. Investigators are now conducting a Homicide Investigation and continuing to follow up on all leads.
