NAPLES, FL -- Jerry Dean Price, 79 of Naples was southbound at 7:45 pm Saturday on south US 41 (SR 45) in the right lane, south of Bonita Beach Road as Grant Gegory Martek, 54 of St. Augustine, a pedestrian, began to cross US 41 from east to west and walked into the direct path of Price's 2018 Toyota Highlander.
The left front of the vehicle collided with Martek in the right lane. He was pronounced deceased on scene from injuries received in this crash. The FHP says no charges are being filed against the driver. The deceased's body was taken to the medical examiner's office.
