The driver of the other vehicle, male, age 45 from Okeechobee was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
Vehicle 1 was traveling south on State Road 78, south of Access Road. Vehicle 2 was traveling north on State Road 78, south of Access Road.
Vehicle 1 entered the northbound lane State Road 78. The front of Vehicle 1 collided with the front of Vehicle 2.
Vehicle 1 rotated onto the grass shoulder and came to rest. Vehicle 2 came to rest on the State Road 78 travel lanes.
Driver 1 and passenger 1 were pronounced deceased on scene.
