Obituaries - Paul Allen Wright, James Barton Hull

Paul Allen Wright, age 74, of Clewiston, Florida formally of Rockmart, Georgia was welcomed home to his heavenly home on June 16, 2024, in Delray Beach, Florida. 

 Paul was born on September 18, 1949, in Barnesville, Ohio to the late Harry and the late Melvina Snyder Wright. He married Vickie Steen, and she survives him. He was Ohio State Bass Federation Champion in 1983. He enjoyed being on his boat and fishing, also riding his bike. Paul was a loving and caring husband to Vickie, a loving and understanding father to his children and a loving grandfather to his grandchildren and great grandchild.

Paul leaves fond memories with his loving wife; Vickie of Clewiston, Florida, his daughter; Tami Otoupal and her husband Scott, Bobbi Kenney and her husband John, six grandchildren and one great grandchild. 

 Paul was also preceded in death by his two brothers; Michael and Fred Wright. 

 Paul’s life will be celebrated with a service on July 6, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Clewiston where visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Paul will be cremated after the celebration and he will be laid to rest in Sweetwater Memorial Park in Hiram, Georgia at a later date.

Paul’s service was entrusted to Akin-Davis Funeral Home – Clewiston.

James Barton Hull, affectionately known as Jimmy Hull, passed away peacefully on June 17th at the age of 87. Born on May 20, 1937, in Felda, Florida, Jimmy lived a life rich in adventure with those close to him.

Growing up in Felda, he developed a love for the woods, often spending his days cowboying, hog hunting, and chasing an adventure.

In 1976, Jimmy married the love of his life, Jeannette, and together they built a beautiful life. A proud husband and father, Jimmy is survived by his wife, Jeannette Hull; his children, Jerry, Steve, Sherry, Terry, and Jenise & Stacey deceased: his grandchildren, JB, Brian, Joey, Amanda, Sarah, Steven, Amber, Annie, and Joel, and Rachel deceased: and his great-grandchildren Desiree, Jasmine, Maria, Sylvia, Canaan, Gideon, Vera, Thea, Jackson, Bennett, and Aurora: and great great grand child Zion. 

He is survived by his sister, Kay Willis and preceded in death by his siblings: Etta Jane, Judy, Patricia, Grace, John, Jerry and Eddie.

In his leisure time, Jimmy enjoyed hunting, fishing, and exploring the big cypress, often sharing these passions with his loved ones. Whether it was riding his buggy or simply spending time with his family, he found joy in the little moments that life had to offer.

A celebration of Jimmy's life will be held at 9:00am on June 24th at Felda Cemetery. A luncheon will be at the Primitive Baptist Church where family and friends will gather to honor his memory and share in the many stories and cherished moments he leaves behind.

Rest in peace, Jimmy. Your love and light will forever shine in our hearts.
