NAPLES, FL. -- A driver and two passengers were killed in a two-vehicle crash at 10:55 p.m. on Thursday night after the car hit a culvert and overturned. A third passenger is in serious condition at a local hospital.
A 2000 Ford Mustang, driven by Jacob Garibay, age 17 of Immokalee was traveling eastbound on CR 846 (Immokalee Rd) and went off the roadway into the south shoulder, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The front of the Mustang struck a concrete culvert causing it to overturn onto its roof. The Ford came to final rest facing west on its roof.
The driver and passenger, Joseph Daguerre Jr, 17 of Immokalee died in the crash while passenger Lamorris Hall, 16 of Immokalee was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. Daguerre and Hall were wearing seatbelts.
Garibay and Ruiz were not wearing seatbelts, according to the FHP.
A blood alcohol test is pending on driver Garibay reported Florida Highway Patrol Trooper J. N. Martin and homicide investigator George R. Kantor.
