CLEWISTON, FL. -- Paul Waynevan, Sickle, 59 of Wauchula, driving a commercial motor vehicle at 11:51 a.m. Wednesday, was hauling ninety-five cattle traveling north on County Road 833 (Sam Jones Trail) approximately 200 feet north of Zipper Grove Road.He stated that as he entered a curve in the road, the cattle shifted left forcing the truck to steer right, and in an unsuccessful attempt to maintain control of the truck it traveled off the roadway, through a ditch, then proceeded to overturn on the northeast shoulder facing north.
Thirty-seven of the cattle died.
The crash remains under investigation.
