Lora's life will be celebrated on Friday, January 6, 2023 at the Pavilion at Ortona Cemetery. She will be laid to rest in Ortona Cemetery.
Comer C. Taylor, age 85, of Alva, Florida passed away on December 29, 2022, in Fort Myers, Florida.
Celebration of Comer's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Community Harvest Worship Center in LaBelle, where Pastor Don Cook will preside.
Comer C. Taylor, age 85, of Alva, Florida passed away on December 29, 2022, in Fort Myers, Florida.
Comer was born on May 22, 1937, in Hazelhurst, Georgia to the late Clifton and Winnie Olive Sears Taylor. He moved to Alva in 1957 and met Loleta Lee in 1958, they were married in 1961 at the Alva United Methodist Church in Alva, they were married until her death in 2004.
They had three children: Karen, Janet and Larry.
Comer got into the cattle business when we got his first cow in 1969. He worked for Crabtree Construction until going to work for Lee County Department of Transportation; he retired from there in 2000. After his retirement, he went to work for the City of Bonita then went on to work as a consultant for Dan Aranoff and also worked for Garguilo Farms in Naples.
He married Iris Keel Dahlgren in June 2006.
He continued raising cattle that was his passion, he also loved his horses, cows, his dogs, his kids, and all of his grandchildren.
He was member of Community Harvest Worship Center in LaBelle, Florida for 17 1/2 years. Comer never met a stranger; he had many friends and was loved by all.
Comer leaves fond memories with his loving wife; Iris Taylor of Alva, Florida, his children; Larry and wife Kelly, Janet Coello, Karen Gustison, and his stepchildren; Daniel Greene, Mathew Greene and his wife Jamie, Andrew Dahlgren and wife Lindsay. He also leaves great memories with is grandchildren; Brandon, Eathon, Daniel, Kyle, Devin, Ally, Michaela, Christian, Savannah, Devin, Grayson, Lincoln, Miles, Maverick, Kinsley great grandchildren include Kaila, Whitney, Coleton, Jace, Jackson, Payton, Rayas, Wrenley, Paislee and one great-great grandchild; Payson.

Visitation will be from 10-11 am also at the Community Harvest Worship Center.
Comer will be laid to rest next to his first wife Loleta in Alva Cemetery, Alva, Florida.
Lisa Nell Rimes age 66 of LaBelle, Florida passed away on December 28, 2022, after an extended illness. Lisa was born in Fort Myers, Florida on February 11, 1956, to the late Delmar H. and Gladys Faye Williams Rimes.
Lisa worked as a Dispatcher for Hendry County Sheriff's Office for many years, then worked as the Head Cook for the Alico Cowboy Crew and also was a school bus driver for Okeechobee Schools.
Lisa leaves fond memories with her only sister left; Bonnie Starr of Georgia, six nieces; Jackie Strickland, Shawn Johnson, Brenda Lightner, Penny Lee, Christy Malin and Brandie Baker along with many great nieces and nephews.
Lisa was preceded in death by her parents; Delmar and Faye Rimes, sisters; Julia Faye Stricklan, Hilda Malin and Frankie Rimes.
Celebration of Lisa's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Fort Denaud Cemetery on January 4, 2022. She will be laid to rest next to her sister, Frankie Tiner.
Akin-Davis Funeral Home - LaBelle is in charge of the celebration arrangements.
