$3000 Reward - Information On Murder Suspect Darrius Treadwell

SUSPECT IN CLEWISTON SHOOTING IDENTIFIED

Hendry County Detectives along with other members of the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office Special Units continued their search for the man alleged to have shot 27-year-old Anthony Darnell Steele of Clewiston, Florida on Saturday, July 5, 2025.

Detectives have identified the shooter as 29-year-old Darrius Jamar Treadwell also of Clewiston. It was reported that both men became involved in a physical altercation and once the fight broke up Steele proceeded to walk away from the area. Treadwell, then displayed a firearm and fired shots at the victim striking him. Steele was transported to the nearest medical facility where he later succumbed to his injuries.

HCSO DETECTIVES CONTINUE THEIR SEARCH FOR SHOOTING SUSPECT DARRIUS TREADWELL

Hendry County Detectives are continuing their search efforts for 29-year-old Darrius Jamar Treadwell.

Treadwell is the subject of a Homicide Investigation that occurred on Saturday, July 5, 2025, in Clewiston, Florida, where a 27-year-old man died from a gunshot wound.

Detectives are continuing to follow up on all leads.

We want to stress again, this is an isolated incident, and the public is not in danger.
