Twin Engine Aircraft Crashes In Arcadia Field

ARCADIA, FL. -- A private 62 year old twin engine Beechcraft Baron, N87DP, crashed in a field south of the Arcadia, Fl airport Thursday afternoon around 1:35 pm. 

The aircraft with 2 aboard departed from Venice, Fl. at 12:53 p.m. 

Flight data indicated a flight at 7500 feet but the ground speed was fluctuating between 100 knots and 155 knots through much of the flight.

The pilot and passenger were both injured.
