Hendry County , FL — The Hendry County Health Department in LaBelle and Clewiston will be providing COVID-19 vaccinations (first dose-Moderna Vaccine) by walk-ins and appointments.


Wednesday, April 7th from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. - Hendry County Health Department - LaBelle, 1140 Pratt Blvd. LaBelle, FL 33935

Thursday, April 8th - 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. - Hendry County Health Department - Clewiston, 1100 S. Olympia, Clewiston, FL 33440

PLEASE NOTE:
DO NOT BRING PETS (ONLY SERVICE ANIMALS ARE ALLOWED)
You will be required to fill out local health department paperwork on site.
You will be notified about your 2nd dose before exiting.

Governor Ron DeSantis signed Executive Order 21-79 Vaccine Administration/Protecting Florida’s Seniors.

Note: Effective Monday, April 5, 2021 all Florida residents shall be eligible to receive any COVID-19 vaccine as prescribed by the Food and Drug Administration.

Boil Water Notice Issued For Port LaBelle For 3 Days

LaBelle, Fla. – Due to a broken water main, the Port LaBelle Utility System service area is currently under a precautionary boil water notice.

The boil water notice is expected to last 3 days. Residents will be notified when the notice has been lifted.

Ivy earned her Bachelor’s degree with a focus on natural history from The Evergreen State College, Olympia, Washington.

Following graduation, Ivy worked as a firefighter for the Olympic National Forest and later for the Northern Spotted Owl Project,

PNW Forestry Sciences Laboratory. She monitored Spotted Owl reproduction in the forests of the Olympic mountains and studied their diet.

Upon moving to Wisconsin, she continued studying wildlife as a special student at the University of Wisconsin.

Currently Ivy serves as president of the Sand Bluff Bird Observatory, Shirland, Ill where she has served as a volunteer for 25 years.

Her presentation tonight focuses on her efforts to landscape her tiny Wisconsin yard with goal of inviting migrating birds to stop by for a close-up visit and photo-op.
