Dr. Lisa Korte Presents At Audubon Meeting October 14

LABELLE, FL. -- Dr. Lisa Korte will present a program about Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary at Dallas Townsend Agricultural Extension located at 1085 Pratt Blvd., LaBelle at 7:00 pm on Monday October 14, 2019. This free presentation will be hosted by Hendry-Glades Audubon Society volunteers.

Dr. Lisa Korte is the Director at Audubon’s Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary. Lisa is a wildlife conservationist with an impressive list of experience and accomplishments. She served as Peace Corps Volunteer in the Democratic Republic of Congo and worked with the Africa Program of Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS). 

She earned a Master of Science degree in Wildlife Conservation and Ecology from the University of Florida and studied buffalo at Lopé National Park in Gabon. After completing her Ph.D. at Michigan State University, Dr. Korte served as a Foreign Affairs Officer in the Office of Central African Affairs at the U.S. Department of State.
