Database Shows Who's Owed IRS Unclaimed Refund Checks
LABELLE, FL. -- According to the IRS there are tens of thousands of people owed money by the Internal Revenue Service. Most are due to unclaimed or un-cashed tax refund checks.
There are 24 Hendry county individuals owed money, and 7 in Glades county, according to a database available to search anywhere in the country.
The Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel has published a database with names of those due a refund from the IRS. According to the site, IRS is seeking to return $153.3 million in undelivered tax refund checks.
To search the database of unclaimed refunds enter your name (last name first), state or county, and a listing will confirm if any funds are due.
