Florida Veterans Administration Launches New Services
LABELLE, FL. -- In response to concerns that ex-service members and their families do not apply or know about their eligibility for benefits, the Florida Department of Veterans Affairs launched a statewide multimedia campaign to connect them with federal and state benefits and services they have earned.
The campaign includes new initiatives such as newspaper ads, smart-phone apps, and a redesigned website. The website now includes information tailored for the nation's largest population of retirees who served in World War II, about 449,000 Vietnam veterans, and growing numbers of women and recent fighters from the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.
