Tropical Storm Isaac Doesn't Stop Baptism Of Three In LaBelle

LABELLE, FL. -- On Sunday August 26 at about 1:00 p.m. Jessica Angel Koff of Port LaBelle, Brittany Helmlinger, and Brandon Helmlinger of Lehigh Acres walked into the Caloosachee River at Barron Park to follow the Lord Jesus' command to be Baptized. 

Pastor Clifford Avery of LaBelle Assembly of God prayed for each young person and then baptized them using the New Testament formula "I baptize you in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit". 

Tropical strong Isaac was a new development, in this event that had been planned for this date for over a month. "The water had a definite chop and a light rain began to fall as the last child came up out of the water," said Pastor Avery. Family and friends congratulated the newly immersed believers after the ceremony.
