Tina Noel was the guest speaker at a recent LaBelle Kiwanis Club Meeting. She gave an overview of the “Days for Girls”, an international nonprofit program that is dedicated to helping women around the world get the supplies they need (women that have no access to pads or tampons).
Each set comes in a drawstring bag with underwear, shields, liners, a waterproof barrier, a washcloth, soap and zip lock bags. Tina Noel has coordinated local efforts for this project and along with the Women’s Club of LaBelle, they made 500 sanitary product sets that were sent to Malawi.
Today,
Days for Girls has reached more than one million women and girls in 125+ countries with Days for Girls Kits and menstrual health education. This translates into over 115 million days of dignity, health, and opportunity. To make a donation, or to get involved you can visit the website: https://www.daysforgirls.org/
