TWO MEN SHOT IN MONTURAOn June 22, 2019 at approximately 2:09 pm, Hendry County Deputies responded to a shooting in Montura Ranch Estates. When deputies arrived they were able to locate both injured men. They were both flown to hospitals for medical attention.
At this time Investigators are not releasing any information as to the motive of the shooting. Hendry County Investigators are attempting to locate, 31yr old, Samuel Rueda (December 2018 photo at left) for questioning; he has been identified as a person of interest and Investigators would like to speak with him.

Update: Rueda turned himself in and was booked on two counts of Aggravated Battery, Using Firearm in Commission of a Felony, and Robbery. He is being held on a bond set at $450,000.
Additional charges may be added after investigation. Rueda has a criminal arrest history going back to 2011 including arrests for battery and probation violation.
