David Simpson At Audubon January 13

LABELLE, FL. -- David Simpson, experienced bird guide, will present a program “Historic and Modern Birding in the Dry Tortugas” at the Dallas Townsend Agricultural Extension Building located at 1085 Pratt Blvd., LaBelle at 7:00 pm on Monday January 13, 2020. 

 This free program, hosted by Hendry-Glades Audubon, will introduce you to the birding mecca, Dry Tortugas National Park, from the discovery in 1513 by Ponce de Leon, through the visit of naturalist John James Audubon in 1832, to the present. The Dry Tortugas have is known for its amazing richness in migrating land birds and vast seabird colonies.

David Simpson has over 25 years’ experience guiding bird tours throughout Florida including customized tours for individuals or small groups. He is familiar with all aspects of Florida wildlife, and has an extensive knowledge of native plants, snakes, frogs, and many other critters you encounter in Florida.
