Two Port LaBelle Marijuana Homes Busted

29 Drug Houses Down So Far In Hendry

LABELLE, FL. -- Hendry County Sheriff Ronnie Lee said two more Marijuana Grow Houses located in Port LaBelle are out of business. Sheriff's Deputies executed a search warrant at 8059 Windswept Circle on January 7 and another at 7027 Tide Circle on January 9.

The bust on January 9 brings the total of "Grow House" crops destroyed within the past three years in Hendry County to 29. Deputies seized a quantity of marijuana plants, the irrigation systems, grow lights, fertilizer and other equipment used to grow and harvest marijuana.

According to Sheriff Lee, the information obtained by Investigators, indicate the owners of the property live outside Hendry County. Deputies are attempting to locate the owners and arrests are expected within the near future.

Typically, a marijuana grow house in Port LaBelle is a new home, in a neighborhood with few neighbors close by. Other typical clues: windows blinds shut tight, fenced yard, absence of people and cars anywhere on the property except on weekends, when the druggies come to check to check the crop.
