Hendry Hit And Run Suspect Sought

Van Hits Montura Woman Walking With Infant


CLEWISTON, FL. - On April 9, 2011 at approximately 8:41 pm, Hendry County Sgt. L. Richardson responded to the area of CR 833 after receiving a report of a hit and run.

 

Lacey McGhee of Montura had been walking on Horse Club Avenue with her infant daughter in a stroller and two young children.  She told Sgt. Richardson that she saw a vehicle traveling toward her on Horse Club and began to move from the roadway to the grassy area alongside the road.  


McGhee reported she was able to get her two toddler age children off the road and the stroller before the vehicle passed her.  As the vehicle approached McGhee she was struck in the left arm by the moving vehicle. 

 

McGhee was later transported to Hendry Regional Medical Center where she was treated and later released.

 

Deputies are looking for a dark in color van with possible damage to the side view mirror.
