Trail Association Meets Thursday

LABELLE, FL. -- The Fisheating Creek Florida Trail Association Sub Chapter will meet meeting Thursday April 28 at 6 p.m. at Carlson Memorial United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall 310 Campbell Ave. LaBelle.

Bring youR calendars and help plan the summer and fall activities for FEC/FTA. Deanna Filkins will present a program on her adventures on the Florida National Scenic Trail.

The Florida National Scenic Trail is a congressionally designated National Scenic Trail. It is approximately 1,300-miles long and is intended to offer a continuous, permanent non-motorized recreation opportunity for hiking and other compatible activities. 

Over its length, it showcases the incredible biodiversity, history, and rich culture of Florida. Its termini lie in Gulf Islands National Seashore to the North and Big Cypress National Preserve in the South.http://www.floridatrail.org/fnst/
There is renewed interest in camping, hiking, kayaking, and wildlife viewing by FEC/FTA chapter members and guests. New and renewing families, adults or youth who return their completed applications during the meeting will receive a membership discount.
