Hendry County Democrats will meet at LaBelle's Big V Restaurant one block west of the Hendry County Courthouse on SR-80 on Saturday, August 18, for a breakfast meeting to plan GET OUT THE VOTE for the August 28 Primary Election that will choose the Democratic Candidate to be Florida's next governor and the opportunity to learn more about the unopposed Democratic candidates whose names are already set to be on the November 6 General Election Ballot that include Tony Aguilar running for Hendry County Property Appraiser, Jennifer Boddicker running for Florida House of Representatives District 80, and Annisa Karim running for Florida Senate District 27. Mary Barzee Flores running for U S Representative CD 25 and incumbent U S Senator Bill Nelson are already experiencing a barrage of extremely negative TV spot announcements since Florida is considered a "must win" state for control of the U S Congress.
All interested Democrats and like-minded voters are welcome to join a cadre of already active local and area Democrats for breakfast at the Big V Restaurant, well-known throughout Southwest Florida for its biscuits and sausage gravy. Remember, all politics is local. Even one vote can make a difference in the outcome of an election as it could make or break a tie. Florida Election law calls for tie votes to be broken by "drawing straws" or tossing a coin. Let's make the outcome of the 2018 Florida Election the "Will of the People" and not random chance!
