Marshia Norton Hall, age 89, of Clewiston, passed away October 3, 2018 in Clewiston.
She was born May 7, 1929 in Okeelanta, near South Bay, Florida to William and Mae Bell (Graham) Norton. Marshia married Rayford E Hall, on July 31, 1955; he preceded her in death on June 15, 2010. She was a telephone operator for many years. Marshia was a wonderful cook, enjoyed reading, crocheting, knitting. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Belle Glade. She was a loving mother, sister, wonderful grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt. She was attending Evangel Assembly of God along with her daughter, Missy Tarter.
Survivors include one son: Rayford "Bud" Hall, Jr of Clearwater, Florida and one daughter: Marshia "Missy" Tarter of Clewiston, Florida, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren, brothers; Massey Norton and Seigler Norton.
Marshia was also preceded in death by her sisters; Lydia Mae Sheppard, Dorothy Norton Edens, Nettie Pearl Surrency, Janeice Norton Hathcock, Ida Norton Weston, Civility Marshall and brother Nathan Andrew Norton.
Celebration of Marshia's life was held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 in Akin-Davis Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Corley officiating. Visitation at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, burial was next to her husband in Ridgelawn Cemetery.

Maricela Escobedo- Martinez, age 60, of Clewiston, passed away October 7, 2018 in Clewiston.
She was born Nov. 17, 1957 in Mexico to the late Rogelio and Avengelina (Rodriguez) Escobedo.
Survivors include her husband: Ranulfo Martinez,
three sons: Margarito Martinez, Ramon Martinez and Ranulfo Martinez Jr.
and two daughters: Marissa Martinez and Iracema Martinez,
three brothers: Marco Antonio Escobedo, Miguel Angel Escobedo and Juan Jose Escobedo,
and two sisters: Alma Rosa Escobedo and Angelica Escobedo,
21 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 7:00 pm at Akin-Davis Funeral Home, Clewiston with Father Marcial Garcia officiating.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 PM at Akin-Davis Funeral Home, Clewiston, FL.
Leola Blondell Phillips, 90 of Clewiston, passed away October 6, 2018 in Clewiston.
She was born Dec. 13, 1927 in Compass Lake, FL, to the late John Buress and Rosa Estelle (Kirkland) Kent.
Survivors include four sons: James Phillips, Alan Phillips, Wade Phillips and Damon Mason,
two daughters: Mary Pridgen and Patricia Miller,
one sister: Syble Lamb
10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 11:30 am at First Baptist Church of Clewiston, with Pastors Raul Zaldivar and Roger Bradley officiating.
Interment will be Thursday, October 11, 2018 in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clewiston.
Visitation will be Thursday from 11 to 1130AM at First Baptist Church of Clewiston, Clewiston, FL.

Helena Henry, age 52, of Clewiston, passed away October 3, 2018 in Fort Lauderdale.
She was born Feb. 11, 1966 in Talihina, OK, to the late MacArthur Henry and Henrietta (Osceola) Henry.
She is survived by her mother: Henrietta Osceola, two brothers: Joey Henry and Michael B. Henry, sister: Marla Wilson, nephew, Russell Wilson; nephew, Erik Wilson and significant other, Ron Carpitcher.
Funeral services were held Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church-Big Cypress, Clewiston with Rev. Salaw Hummingbird officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 1 hour prior to service at First Baptist Church-Big Cypress. Interment is in Big Cypress Cemetery, Big Cypress Reservation.

Gloria Walker passed away at her home in LaBelle on October 3, 2018. She was born on January 4, 1949 the daughter of Milton and Aline Strickland.
She is survived by her husband, Rowland Walker, her children, Harry and his daughter Haley Walker, Jason and his wife Callie and their son, John Walker and her surviving brothers and sisters, Richard Strickland, Greg (Brenda) Strickland, Linda (John) Bateman, Louise (JW) Mullins, Loretha Durbin, Peggy (Steve) Whidden and Daphne (James) Krause.
Funeral Services will be private. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made in her name to Hope Hospice in Ft. Myers
