Hendry/Glades Openings October 3 - Updates

Glades County Schools will be open on Monday 10/03/22 for all students and staff. "We understand that many of our families are without power. Therefore, we will be excusing all student absences this week, if your situation requires your child unable to attend school."

All Glades County Government Offices have resumed normal business hours as of today, Monday, October 3rd.

Due to local retail stores being reopened and able to support residents needs, the Glades County POD Site located in Muse will closed, no further distributions are planned at this time.

Glades officials are working to survey debris and plan for disposal. As soon as a decision is made residents will be notified.

Please remember when cleaning up around your property that vegetative storm debris (tree limbs,
branches and other organic debris) should always be separated from storm-related construction debris
(shingles, fencing, lumber, drywall, etc.)

Hendry County Board of County Commissioners offices will resume normal business hours on Monday, October 3.

The Cities of LaBelle and Clewiston along with the Supervisor of Elections Office will also be open for normal business hours on Monday, October 3.

The Clerk of Court and Property Appraiser office employees will return to work on Monday, October 3. Office opening times for the public will be announced on Monday.

The Tax Collectors office employees will return to work on Monday, October 3. Offices will open to the public on Tuesday, October 4.

The 20th Judicial Circuit Court’s Hendry County offices will resume regular business hours on Thursday, October 7.

Hendry County Schools will reopen for teachers on Monday, October 3 and students will return on Tuesday, October 4.

Hendry and Glades County’s transportation service, STREAM, has resumed all transit services including fixed route and door-to-door.

There will be no recyclable or regular horticulture pick up until further notice. Please do not put recycling bins or horticulture out for pick up until notified that those pick-up services will resume.
