Hope Healthcare is offering a new support group, After the Storm: Coping with Disaster, beginning in November to help the community start to heal in the wake of Hurricane Ian. Participants will have the opportunity to share their stories, learn ways to cope and engage with other Southwest Florida residents in a safe, supportive space.
Led by compassionate professional counselors, the group will help participants grieve the missing pieces in their life – whether it’s the loss of a home, beloved pet, business, or priceless treasure – while preparing to rebuild their future.
The support group is open to the public at no cost, thanks to generous community support.
Virtual sessions will be held on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 2 p.m. via Zoom. Advanced registration is required to 239-322-4867 or Lorrie.McCann@HopeHCS.org.
In-person sessions will be held on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 10 a.m. at 2430 Diplomat Pkwy. E. in Cape Coral. Advanced registration is required to 239-322-4867 or Tricia.Betters-Black@HopeHCS.org.
