Clewiston Man Murdered At Home

CLEWISTON, FL. -- The Hendry County Sheriff's Office is not releasing much information as they investigate the murder of a Clewiston man at his home in the Sherwood subdivision southeast of the city of Clewiston. Deputies are investigating the Saturday night murder of John Irvin Tull from a gunshot wound. The 44-year old was found at 570 Fleetwood Street about 10 p.m. May 12.

Witnesses said a small car with two people inside was seen leaving the area at the time of the incident. Tull owned the modest single-wide mobile home since September 2000, and had been off and on living in a travel trailer at the rear of the double sized lot after recent hurricanes badly damaged his home.

John was a very wonderful person and would have done anything for his friends and family. He did not deserve this to happen to him and I hope that all is being done to get the 2 men involved. Johns's family is terrified and have been treated like suspects rather then victims.

  2. John was my father and is missed so very much, I wish he could be here to watch his grandchildren grow.
