South American Travels Subject Of Clewiston Talk

The Hendry Glades - Audubon is hosting a program at the Clewiston Museum on Monday, October 10th, at 7:00 p.m.  Elston Chavarria will be featured as guest speaker.

Mr. Elston Chavarria holds a degree in forestry and worked for several years doing reforestation in the northwest.  During the last 12 years he has been exploring the natural wonders of Central and South America (Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, and Brazil), becoming very knowledgeable on the local geography, wildlife and culture of these many countries.

In 2006, Mr. Chavarria started the Aventuras Naturales (Natural Adventures) company.  It focuses most of its tours in countries where eco-tourism is still in its infancy.  The philosophy of his company is simple: explore and enjoy nature, while leaving it as undisturbed as possible.  The company is proud of its "Give Back" program, which donates a portion of all trips to local, national, or international environmental organizations.

Mr. Chavarria's enjoys sharing his experiences and wealth of knowledge with audiences.  Tales of exotic places and beautiful wildlife makes for an informative and entertaining presentation, so make plans to come and spend an enjoyable evening at the Clewiston Museum.

The Hendry Glades Audubon program and refreshments are free to the public.
