Kiwanis Hosts Guest Speaker Dr. Joseph Pepe

LABELLE, FL. -- Kiwanis Club of LaBelle learns about Public Health as Joseph D. Pepe, Ed D., MSA; the Interim Health Officer/Administrator for the Florida Department of Health in Hendry & Glades Counties spoke at a recent meeting for the Kiwanis Club of LaBelle.

Joe gave a very informative Power Point presentation about the role of Public Health, the various programs at the Health Department, the Public Health System and some Public Health initiatives such as the Healthiest Weight Initiative.

Additionally, he discussed the community partnerships that have been developed and their focus on helping residents in Hendry & Glades Counties become healthier.
