LABELLE, FL. -- The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is expanding a two-mile segment of State Road 80 from two to four lanes from CR 833 to just west of US 27.
Beginning the first week of September, FDOT is also widening the five-mile segment of SR 80 from two to four lanes from Birchwood Parkway in Port LaBelle to Dalton Lane in mid-Hendry county. Completion of these projects in Hendry County is expected spring/summer 2014, weather permitting.

FDOT is hosting a public information meeting regarding the two upcoming construction projects from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at the Port Labelle Inn, Sable Room, 1563 Oxbow Drive in Port LaBelle.
The public is invited to attend the informal open house to ask questions and discuss the jobs one-on-one with project staff. The public information officer for the SR 80/US 27 interchange job also will attend and will be available to answer questions about this project.
