LABELLE, FL. -- Ignatio Soto Garduno, 62 of Felda was traveling west on W Cowboy Way about 6:38 a.m. Thursday as a pedestrian, Liborio Sosa Martinez, 68 of LaBelle was walking northbound, crossing W Cowboy Way east of Dr. MLK Jr Blvd.
Martinez walked into the oncoming path of the Dodge Caravan. As a result, he was struck by the front passenger side of the vehicle.
After the collision, Martinez came to a final rest on the north shoulder of W Cowboy Way. The van
came to a controlled stop on the north shoulder of W Cowboy Way.
Martinez was pronounced deceased on the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
