MOORE HAVEN, FL. -- Glades County East District Volunteer Fire Department and Central District Volunteer Fire Department stayed on scene throughout the night at the Old Castle Lawn and Garden to continue the containment of the fire that broke out yesterday. The fire is still burning underneath the piles of debris that are located on the backside of Old Castle’s property.
Glades County Fire Department was on scene throughout the day putting water on the debris piles to try and keep the fire contained to the piles that were already burning. Old Castle staff is currently moving the debris that is in close proximity to the fire and will stay during the night to continue to monitor the property. A monitor nozzle will keep spraying water during the night to decrease the chance of flare.
