9th Hendry Resident Positive For COVID-19

LABELLE, FL. -- Hendry county now has nine people testing positive for Coronavirus, 4 men and 5 women, ages from 28 to 70. The latest two patients diagnosed Sunday, are females aged 40 and 58, both from Clewiston.

UPDATE: As of 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, there are now 10 Hendry county cases. Only 155 people have been tested in Hendry. 1 in 4,114 people in Hendry have COVID-19. 1 in 3,402 people in Glades county have COVID-19.

UPDATE: As of 6 p.m. Wednesday April 8 there are now 11 Hendry county cases. 1 in 3,740 people in Hendry have COVID-19. The latest two confirmed cases are a 40 year old female and a 60 year old male; both individuals are residents of Clewiston.

8 of the individuals who have tested positive in Hendry County are currently under isolation. 3 individuals have recovered and are no longer required to be under isolation.

UPDATE: As of 6 p.m. Thursday 13 cases have tested positive in Hendry. The latest confirmed cases are a 60 year old male and a 28 year old male; both individuals are residents of Clewiston. Now, 1 in 3,165 people in Hendry have COVID-19.

Three Hendry residents are now hospitalized. Now, 1 in 4,572 people in Hendry county have the virus. But only 135 persons have been tested so far in Hendry county.

In Glades county only 16 tests have been performed, finding 4 positive. Based on it's population 1 in 3,402 people in Glades have the virus as of today's testing results.

A local TV stations reported today that the Glades county Sheriff is contemplating a curfew in Glades from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m.
