Hendry Virus Cases Explode This Weekend

LABELLE, FL. -- Two additional cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Hendry County, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in Hendry County to 41.

The latest confirmed cases are a 49 year old female and a 60 year old female; both individuals are residents of Clewiston.

1 in 1000 Henry residents have been tested positive so far, with the likelihood of considerably more testing positive in the next week, even with the small numbers being tested.  New York has experienced 1 in 83 residents with the virus and in New York City, 1 in 63.

309 Tests have been given in Hendry county. Contact with a doctor or healthcare provider is still a necessary step to get permission for testing, and then go through a drive through line in Clewiston one morning a week, and similarly one morning in LaBelle.

31 of the individuals who have tested positive in Hendry County are currently under isolation. 10 individuals have recovered and been cleared by the Florida Department of Health and are no longer required to be under isolation.
