U.S. Navy Angels Fly On Biofuel

Look Who's Saving Gas! Navy Blue Angels F-18s

In an effort to save on fossil fuel use, the U.S. Navy flight demonstration team, the Blue Angels, are seen in this video flying F/A-18 Hornets with a 50-50 mix of biofuel and JP-5 aviation fuel.  JP-5 is similar to a diesel fuel  but refined for aviation use.

While the Navy has experimented with biofuels in some of their other aircraft, this is the first time all six Blue Angels have flown burning the biofuel mix.
