Hendry Sheriff Whidden On Wild Ride To Arrest Bryan Boyle

Bryan Boyle Arrested For 22nd Time After Attempt To Flee

LABELLE, FL. -- Hendry Sheriff Steve Whidden captured a fleeing Bryan Scott Boyle Wednesday afternoon after a run through the rural streets and fields of Port LaBelle.

Sheriff Whidden, accompanied in the squad car by his father visiting from Groveland, Florida, was led on a chase by much arrested Boyle as Whidden was attempting to serve an arrest warrant on Boyle.

Today's arrest makes the 22nd jail booking for Boyle, and the eighth time booked into the Hendry jail this year. His last arrest was September 30. Boyle was arrested once again on charges of violating restrictions on his driver's license, and additionally for failure to appear in court on a previous charge.

(Video: Sheriff Steve Whidden watches loading of Bryan Boyle's truck after the arrest. Boyle was carrying two knives.)

Leading the Sheriff over ditches and through the greenbelts of Port LaBelle, Boyle stopped at 8001 Sherwood Circle in Port LaBelle.

The home is occupied by Harriet F. Green, AKA Harriet Smith, Harriet Hunter, and Kit Green. Green, a friend of Boyle, was arrested earlier this year on charges of possessing a firearm by a convicted felon. She's due in court this Friday for a pre-trial conference before Circuit Judge John Duryea.

Well-worn truck tracks in the empty lots next to side and rear of the Green residence indicate a lot of truck traffic backing up to the back yard of the 2,082 square foot home.

Boyle, the son of the city of LaBelle's Superintendent of Public Works Michael A. Boyle, has a lengthy record in Hendry county including numerous misdemeanor and felony arrests going back to 1993.

Boyle lives with his mother, Susan Lynn Kennedy, aka Susan K. Denning at 4502 Springview Circle in Port LaBelle, the scene of an April, 2011 arrest of his friend John Robert Munson for probation violation. (Video of Munson's arrest.).

Kennedy, like her son, has a long arrest record of 16 bookings into the Hendry jail in the last 9 years.

Munson was given six months in jail. Munson is the son of pharmacist John K. Munson, who formerly owned Hendry two county drug stores and is now owns a store in Highlands county in Lake Placid.

Boyle's truck was confiscated and towed. Seen regularly illegally driving a camo 4-Wheel ATV, he reportedly recently bought a one-ton flatbed truck with welding equipment from Mike Puletti. Boyle has reportedly been seen regularly at the Port LaBelle Marina, and on occasion at Puletti's boat docked there.

Puletti is the brother of City of LaBelle Mayor Paul Puletti.

Boyle was released from jail within hours of his arrest Wednesday night, a typical scenario for Boyle. Maybe that's why he's smiling in the mug shot?

(Update 11/14/11: Mike Puletti says he did not sell a vehicle to Boyle, and that Boyle was on his boat (Picocat) at the Port LaBelle Marina hired to do cleaning.)

Prime example of Hendry County at its finest. No doubt this type of "justice" will continue and this county will continue to slide backwards.
Wonder why industry and retail ignore Hendry? Take a damn long look at the leadership and the decisions that have been made in the past and present.

"What did Michael Boyle, John Munson and Paul Puletti have to do with the crime spree?"
Probably nothing at all, and obviously no positive influence on any of the others mentioned..........

The reason that industry (other than sugar)ignores Hendry is that Hendry establishment do not like outsiders that will complain about the sh_t smell in clewiston, general drug industry kickbacks and the skimming! Also you can't find a decent faily taxed place to live because of the freaking mess from all the slumlords supplying all the drughouses. Hendry caters to dirtbags and drives away decent productive potential residents. I mean...damn man look at the dude in this article! Is that one of Hendry,s finest residents or what?

The only truth to the above comment concerning me is that I hired Bryan to clean my boat. His father and I have been friends for years, so when Brian approached me for work I allowed him an opportunity to do an honest days work for and honest days pay. And yes, Paul Puletti is my brother (the only other statement concerning me that is true and really what does Paul Puletti have to do with this?) Your article is less fact and more like 7 degrees of separation. Shouldn't you have to fact check? Or does your boss encourage this kind of gossip. (You’ll never get a real editor job this way) Although the truck in the youtube video looks similar to mine, I did not sell Brian Boyle any truck or welding equipment. I do believe Mr. Don that you are committing slander. So in the future before you use my name or try to associate me in your journalism, check your facts. Mike Puletti
