Teens Arrested - Stolen Items Found And Returned

Alert Residents Aid Deputies in Arrest

CLEWISTON, FL.. -- A very observant resident witnessed two teenage boys breaking into vehicles in the Holiday Isles Community, in Clewiston, Florida. After noticing two suspicious teenagers entering his neighbor’s truck, the witness called the neighbor and asked if he had two boys staying at the home with them.

When it was discovered the neighbor had no visitors, both men began to search the area for the suspicious teens.

They located 16 year old Alejandro Mireles and 17 year old Austin Adams, rummaging through another truck in the same neighborhood. The men located and detained both boys. Prior to the arrival of deputies Alejandro Mireles was able to get loose and fled the scene.

A short time later Mireles was located at his residence hiding under the carport area. Deputies were able to recover all items stolen, which were returned to their rightful owners.

Deputies arrested both Mireles and Adams on charges of Burlgary. Both juveniles were released to their guardians.
