Carl Barnes, Sr. Dies At 72

Carl N. Barnes Sr., age 72, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022 in Fort Myers, FL. He was born on June 28, 1949 in Quitman, Georgia to James and Helen Barnes. 

Carl was a longtime resident of Clewiston, FL.

Before retiring from US Sugar, he worked as a farm manager for 46 years.

Carl is survived by his wife: Marti Barnes, Son: BJ Barnes (Sarah), Daughters: Amanda Crawford (GW), Allison Lozano (Benjamin), Grandchildren: Hunter Barnes, Bryce Barnes, Lane Crawford, Presli Crawford, and Benjamin Lozano Jr., Sisters: Virginia Bennett, Polly Littles, Brothers: Ralph Barnes, David Barnes and many nieces and nephews. 

He is proceeded in death by his parents, 6 brothers and 1 sister. 

Carl enjoyed spending time with family, hunting, working his cows, coaching and watching his children and grand children play sports, and playing mens softball.
