Tip Leads To Montura Ranch Arrest - 206 Pounds Of Marijuana
CLEWISTON, FL. -- On January 25, 2011 after receiving information of a possible marijuana grow house, Hendry County Deputies responded to the residence of 765 N. Quebrada Street.
Upon arriving on scene Deputies met with the owner of the residents, 43 year old Carlos Gonzalez. Upon approaching the property owner deputies could smell a strong odor of what they believed to be Marijuana. Hendry County Narcotics Investigators were called and responded to the home and after speaking with the home owner they were given permission to enter the house.
Once inside deputies located 88 live marijuana plants, weighing approximately 206 pounds, with a street value of approximately $500,000 and additional miscellaneous drug paraphernalia.
Carlos Gonzalez was taken into custody and charged with Possession of Marijuana over 20 grams, Possession of Marijuana with intent to sell, Trafficking in marijuana, Cultivation and/or Producing, Possession of a Controlled Substance without a prescription, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Resisting Arrest without Violence.
The 1.25 acre $110,000 rural property was purchased last year by Xonxi 1, LLC, a corporation set up at that address by Raquel Lisboa, with tax bills going to a Miami Beach attorney, according to county and state records.
Gonzalez is currently being held on a $41,000 bond.
